How It Works

  • Please Note!! THE DELIVERY AND PICK-UP WINDOWS. We pick up in the morning and deliver in the afternoon following standard check-in and check-out times. Alternate times can be arranged based on availability for local/seasonal residents and those joining family already here in the desert. Desert Baby rentals does not have a store location all orders are done with delivery.  

Ordering

1.  From the Home Page click over to our products page and select the items you would like to rent.

2.  When you are finished shopping proceed to the checkout.

3.  Fill in your information on the reservation forms that follow.                        

4.  You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.

Deliveries

Private Residence                                                                                       

Yes we will deliver and pick up from a private residence. We will set up all cribs and beds in any room you select. Be sure to leave us a local contact phone number and a pass at the gate or the gate code, and we will make the delivery.  

 

Rental Properties       

                  Please read: Extremely IMPORTANT instructions to avoid possible extra fees.                                                                                                                                                                                        

If you are in a rental property that you have never visited before be mindful that many of these locations are in gated communities that have vendor curfew hours and restrictions (Sundays, Holidays, after 5 pm among others). It is the client's responsibility to book their order accordingly and also make sure guard gates are notified of the delivery and pick-up dates or that any necessary gate codes are provided on your reservation form. If a delivery or pick up needs to be rescheduled due to the customer or property manager not facilitating these details there will be an extra fee applied to the order. Here is a list below but not entailing all the most common zip codes located in gated communities.

It is much more difficult to facilitate delivery and pick up if we do not have access at the front gate either through a gate code or notifying the guard gate in advance.

1. If you are staying in a gated community Please be sure to notify the security guard at the gate that you have scheduled delivery from Desert Baby Rentals. If there is no one posted at the gate, please be sure to leave us the gate code. If we are unable to gain access we will make every effort to reach the customer right away. Please note the driver can only wait 10 minutes, after that we will have to re-schedule the delivery and an extra charge will apply.                                                                                                                                                            

2. We work with many of the vacation rental companies and property managers so if you are arriving and departing outside the available delivery times you may be able to make arrangements with the property manager and or rental company to receive the delivery. Most of the companies are accomodating to guests traveling with little ones, oftentimes they will send a concierge or have a cleaning crew at the property. In many cases, they can provide a key and or lockbox code.                                                                                                                                                                            

3. Side Gate/Porch (front/rear) delivery is also an option provided the items can be placed in a safe location and out of direct sunlight. The rental property manager must be aware of this arrangement.

4. Always be sure to let your Vacation Rental Company, Property Manager, and or homeowner know that you have ordered items to be delivered and picked up from Desert Baby Rentals.  

                                                                                                                                                             

Hotels                                                                                                                                     

We make deliveries to all the hotels in our area. Be sure to include the hotel reservation name on your Desert Baby Rentals reservation form. Also, be sure to inform the resort you have scheduled delivery from Desert Baby Rentals.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Helpful tip - when ordering a crib from a hotel be sure to clarify they are referring to a full-size crib.  In many cases, all they provide is a Pack n Play or a small hotel crib.    

Order Changes                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

Making a Change to your order is easy to do using the order editing feature.   Please note all changes are subject to availability and will be confirmed via email.  If you would like to change an order within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery time you must phone us at  (760) 861-6410.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

1. From the home page select the "My Orders" tab and enter your login information.                                                                                                                                                                   

2. From this page you can view and edit your order.                                                                                           

3. Once you have finished making changes to your order be sure to click on the"Confirm Order Updates" tab at the bottom of the page and you are done.

4. Remember you can always use the "Message" tab to the right-hand side of your order to ask us questions or leave a note.                                                                    

Billing Information                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

Once an order had been placed your card will be verified and charged. Any refunds or adjustments due to order changes or cancelation will be applied to the credit card used to place the order. Please see our terms and conditions page regarding order cancelations and other important information.                                                                        

Terms and Conditions

  • 1) Cancellation Policy:  

    For order cancellations received outside of 7 calendar days of your delivery date there is a full refund minus a $20 processing fees.

    For orders canceled between 4 to 7 calendar days of your drop off date there is a 50% product refund including the delivery fee minus the $20 processing fee.

    There are no product refunds (only the delivery fee refunded) for cancellation requests received within 3 calendar days of the delivery date.

    Orders cancelled on the scheduled delivery date will be charged in full (including delivery fee).

    There are no refunds on early terminations after orders have been delivered whether on the complete order or on individual products.


    Holiday cancellation policy: (Applicable to the week prior and after every major holiday)

    For order cancellations received outside of 14 calendar days of your delivery date there is a full refund minus a $20 processing fees.

    For orders canceled between 8 to 14 calendar days of your drop off date there is a 50% product refund including the delivery fee minus the $20 processing fee.

    There are no product refunds (only the delivery fee refunded) for cancellation requests received within 7 calendar days of the delivery date.

    Cancellation requests received the day of scheduled delivery will be charged in full (including delivery fee).

    There are no refunds on early terminations after orders have been delivered whether on the complete order or on individual products.

    (The cancellation policy applies to partial and full cancellation of orders.)

  • 2) Delivery and Pick Up Policy: We deliver seven days a week between 8a - 7p.  We require a minimum 5-hour window of time during the holidays and peak of the season (January - May).  You may make arrangements with your resort rental company or resident for us to deliver prior to your arrival, and pick up after your departure.

If you are selecting a porch pick up and delivery on your reservation form the above information is especially important to remember. The renter is responsible for lost or stolen items from a porch even after check out is complete so please make sure all equipment is in a hidden area, side gate or back yard.
 
If you are staying in a hotel delivery and pick up is usually made from the hotel bell closet. It is the renter's responsibility to make sure the equipment is tagged and placed back into the bell closet at the starting hour of the pickup time slot selected. DO NOT check out and leave the equipment in your room. If equipment is not placed at the bell closet for return and our staff spends an excessive amount of time looking for it an extra charge will apply.  The renter is responsible for lost items in a hotel even after check out is complete so please make sure all equipment is tagged with your name upon check out. We also recommend getting the name of the bellman or hotel staff member you give the equipment back to.
 
 
  • 3) Damages/ Lost or Stolen Products With the exception of high chairs booster and bumbo seats Desert Baby Rentals holds a no food or drink policy in all rental equipment (water is OK). Desert Baby Rentals Holds a no sand policy on all strollers. The renter agrees that the products must be returned in the condition received or any cleaning fees assessed by Desert Baby Rentals will apply to the credit card on file. Please help us keep the equipment clean and safe for our next little guest. 

    Renter is responsible for damage, loss or theft of rental equipment and agrees to pay for any replacements needed. Products must be returned with all accessories and parts intact and in proper working order. Any excess damage to rental equipment aside from normal wear will be repaired or replaced (depending on the condition) at the expense of the renter. Any additional fees resulting from loss, theft, repair or replacement will apply to the credit card on file. Note that in the event of a lost item at a hotel, car rental agency, rental property or any other type of delivery and pick up destination Desert Baby Rentals will give the renter 72 hours to work with their visited location in order to try and retrieve the lost product. It is not the responsibility of Desert Baby Rentals to try and retrieve lost equipment from the renter's destination. After the 72 hour time period if the product is not retrieved the card on file will be charged for the cost of the item. Any extra trips to retrieve equipment again may result in an additional delivery fee. 
  • 4) Car Seat Installation Car seats cannot be installed by our staff. Information on installing car seats will be posted on the car seats themselves. YouTube has great instructional videos as well. Local fire stations can also install car seats.

full-size cribs cannot be transported in your vehicle if you decide to change locations. You must contact Desert Baby Rentals and arrange a transfer.
